Blue and white wall art peony print of an original drawing done in charcoal. This is one in a series of three studies for oil paintings in the "Branches Collection" designed and drawn by artist Carla Thomson.
Peonies are one of my favorite subjects to paint. These are three flowers from a tree peony captured as they were starting to wilt but no less beautiful. I almost always sketch my design for a painting as the first step. This is the first collection where I'm offering the original sketches as prints. Hang one, two or the set of three to make a statement. The neutral tones and square format are flexible and will enhance any space and decor whether you prefer modern farmhouse, shabby chic or rustic.
Peony Symbolism: "The traditional floral symbol of China, the state flower of Indiana, and the 12th wedding anniversary flower, peonies are known as the flower of riches and honor. With their lush, full, rounded bloom, peonies embody romance and prosperity and are regarded as an omen of good fortune and a happy marriage." Teleflora
